I started a casual thread at Digital Point Forums a few months back asking for the opinions of users regarding paid Drupal themes and whether they though there was much demand. Almost everyone that replied said that they would like to have more quality Drupal themes availible to them.

Many said they would use the Drupal content management system more than they currently do if more quality themes were available. This view is reflected in the the many forum post I come across on Digital Point forums and more so on the Drupal forums.

I wonder why more themes have not become available sooner although it doesn't seem to have effected Drupals growth in popularity much. Perhaps now it is the right time for designers such as ourselves to turn our attention to providing affordable Drupal themes. Them demand is present and the system is at least on par with any other available content management system.

All in all the responses were encouraging and we are pleased to now be in the final stages of preparation for the launch of Drupal Theme Machine.
